On March 21, 2011, Uncharted Philippines canceled its Taal Volcano: Overnight in Inferno tour due to a new local government regulation that prohibited entry into the crater. At the time, Taal's volcanic activity had not increased from previous months and there seemed to be no valid reason for the crater closure. Three weeks later, however, the authorities are proven correct:
