Palawan – The best combination of adventure and leisureby: Cami Sarmiento (translated from Spanish by Leo Cuesta) | posted: 09 February 2011
"I like beaches, but if I have a choice between them and mountains, I choose the latter". This was my way of thinking before I went to Palawan. Now I know there is a place where being beside the sea does not imply simply sun bathing and rest.
In Palawan, you get an adventure every day. Just by getting from one place to another you get to live is already an adventure; by van or jeepney through green mountains or on small boats in the sea. In Sabang the activities were very diverse and always came with special guests: wild animals. We saw snakes and monkeys in the mangrove tour, sea turtles on our way to the waterfalls and monitor lizards and more monkeys at the underground river.
In El Nido, the landscape calls for adventure. The different nearby islands encourage the visitor to explore them and experience many things on them. Each one has its own charm. In Cadlao, beaches and trails to hidden lagoons and beaches; in Shimitzu, beaches suited for a picnic and corals for snorkeling; in Miniloc, two beautiful lagoons with corals and fish that seem out of this world; and many more islands of different shapes to contemplate or visit.
Palawan has activities available for all tastes. For people who like to sun bathe, there are many islands and beaches for rest. And for the ones who like adventure, there is the opportunity to live one every day. Palawan is definitely the best combination of adventure and leisure.VIEW RELATED TRIP: Palawan: Adventure in Paradise >>
